14. Preparing a folder that is not a project

If you open a folder that has no team-ai-console.json, the app shows “This folder cannot be opened as a Team AI Console project yet” with what is missing and these options, depending on what it finds:

• Adopt this project with a team… — if the folder has code but no team (see Adopting).
• Yes, analyze the folder with the AI — if there is a folder with team documents (team/, roles/, agents/…) but no configuration: the agent (Claude Code or Codex; with both installed, the one you are signed in to) reads it and proposes the configuration (roles, workflow document and steps). The agent only reads; the app validates and writes the files. If it does not find a clear definition of the team and its roles, it writes nothing and explains why.
• Generate team-ai-console.json from … — if the project uses the team document from earlier versions (the button names that previous-format file).
• Create team-ai-console.json with the example team — writes a complete, commented example for you to edit.
• Open folder and Check again.
