Describes Team AI Console 0.4.13 · updated 2026-11-06

1. What Team AI Console is

Team AI Console is a desktop application (macOS, Windows and Linux) for working with a team of AI roles on a project: a Product Manager, an analyst, a designer, a developer, QA, security… Each role is an AI agent that acts within its responsibility, produces its documents or its code, and hands the work over to the next role according to a defined workflow. The person using the app is the one who decides: you answer the roles’ questions, approve each deliverable and accept the result.

The app does not include any AI of its own: it uses the coding agent installed on your computer (Claude Code or Codex) with your own account and your subscription. All the work stays on your computer, in the project folder.

Basic concepts

Concept What it is
Project A folder on your computer with the work: the team (team/ and team-ai-console.json), the documents the team produces (docs/) and, if the team builds software, the code (usually in app/).
Team The set of roles, their workflow, their rules and their document templates. The app ships with several ready-to-use teams and lets you import your own teams.
Role A position in the team (Product Manager, QA, Tech Lead…). Each role has a document describing who it is and what it does. At any moment there is one active role: the one that is working.
Workflow The team’s sequence of steps, grouped into phases (for example: Sprint 0, Planning, Build, Delivery). The app shows which step the project is at.
Gate (checkpoint) A workflow step at which someone (usually you) approves a deliverable before moving on.
Sprint / cycle / assignment The unit of work that the workflow repeats; each team uses its own name for it.
Agent The AI program that runs the roles: Claude Code (Anthropic) or Codex (OpenAI).
Chat A conversation with the team inside a project. A project can have several chats (for example, one per sprint or per feature).
Turn In projects shared by several people (each with their own app, on their own computer), who currently has control of the work: only that person writes in the chat and their agent does the work; the others read and wait for their turn.
License Determines which app features you can use (34 features; with no license, the app is read-only).

How it works, in short

  1. You choose a team and create a project (or open an existing one).
  2. You activate the first role of the workflow; it asks you questions to understand what you want.
  3. Each role produces its deliverable (a document, a design, code) and proposes the next role.
  4. You approve at the checkpoints, answer the questions and give permission when the agent wants to write files or run commands.
  5. Everything is documented in the project folder.

Three autonomy modes. You decide how much the team asks you, with the delegation (chapter 9), and the top bar always says which mode you are in:

  • Supervised — nobody decides for you: the team asks you everything the workflow reserves for you. It is the mode without delegation.
  • Semi-autonomous — a role decides on your behalf, except at the workflow’s reserved steps, which still wait for you with the usual question panel (for example, in Lyra, “Ready to build” and “User test”).
  • Autonomous — a role decides on your behalf at every step of the workflow. A team whose workflow marks no reserved steps delegates everything, as always.

In all three modes, hard-to-undo actions (pushing to git, deploying, deleting data, paying, widening the scope) ask you unless you allow them in the delegation dialog.

What the app measures. The Usage panel shows how many turns and tokens each role and each step spend, how much work is repeated and how much context is re-read, so that you can improve the team (chapter 11). And with delegation on, the app can move forward without you until the next point that waits for you (chapter 9).

On your own or with other people. You can take all the roles yourself, or share the project with other people: each one installs Team AI Console on their own computer, keeps their roles and works when their turn comes. The project is shared through a git repository (see Collaboration between several people).

What’s new in version 0.4.6

  • Licenses without “paid”: the key-based license type shows as “Full license” and the features your license does not include say “Not included in your license” (chapter 15).

What’s new in version 0.4.5

  • Gate exits on the first try in the team editor: the assistant can name gates as “G1” and use “move on”, “go back” and “close”; if a line of exits can’t be understood, an amber warning gives the reason and the app sends it back to the assistant on its own to fix it (chapter 5).

What’s new in version 0.4.4

  • Delegation, in plain sight: delegating to a role is no longer in the agent menu; a 🤝 Delegate chip in the project’s top bar opens it and, with a delegation active, shows “🤝 Delegated to: {Role}”, so it is clear that role decides on your behalf (chapter 9).
  • The ··· menu on team cards now shows in full, above its own card and the neighboring ones (chapter 5).
  • The app’s Andromeda, Vela and Orion teams come with new roles, phases and steps (chapters 7 and 8).
  • The app sends its version and the operating system to the license server on every check, as it already did; nothing changes for you (chapter 19).
  • Save, Cancel and Reset in the role and team editors: no change is saved until you press Save (not even what the agent applies or writes); Reset goes back to the last saved version and Cancel discards the changes and closes (chapter 5).

What’s new in version 0.4.3

  • Guided team editor: it opens on Identity and the Next bar, at the foot of each step, walks through Identity → Roles → Flow → Flow document → Sheets per role → Gates and procedures → Templates. The side menu and the panel change together and follow the chat when the assistant moves to the next step (chapter 5).
  • One shortcut per step in the editor chat (“Suggest Identity”, “Guide roles”, “Suggest Flow”…): the assistant proposes a draft of the step based on what is already defined, which you apply or discard (chapter 5).
  • Roles with checkboxes: the Roles step is a list of your roles; checking adds and unchecking removes (chapter 5).
  • New look for Projects, AI Teams and Roles (“Concepts” design): projects are rows with a folder icon and the team’s colored tag; teams are cards whose top takes their category color, with their roles’ faces; roles are cards with a round avatar in their area’s color, an area filter with chips, and Duplicate in the ··· menu (chapters 4 and 5).
  • Delegate to a role: in the agent menu, a team role can confirm, approve and accept on your behalf, following your criteria, and records each decision (chapter 9).

What’s new in version 0.4.2

  • Dictating by voice on macOS and Windows: a microphone button next to Send, in the agent chat and in the “Aside” chat. What you say appears live at the end of the text, can be edited like any other and is never sent on its own. It uses the system’s speech recognition, on your computer, with no keys or external services (chapter 8).
  • Gate exits: in the flow editor, every step with a gate can declare its paths (“All good” → next step, “There is a problem” → back), and the diagram draws them as labelled arrows (chapter 5).
  • Roles and teams without “Suggested model”: the AI model is chosen while working in the project (chapter 10), not when creating roles or teams (chapter 5).
  • Home without page scroll: the sidebar stays in place and only the content on the right scrolls (chapter 4).

What’s new in version 0.4.1

  • Welcome window on startup: the logo, the version and a progress bar while the interface loads and the license is checked; it closes by itself (chapter 4).
  • Teams and Roles is the new name of the Roles and teams screen. Cards have Details, which expands them in place without opening any editor, and languages show as ES and EN chips. Your own teams can be renamed from the ··· menu (chapter 5).
  • New window in the role and team editors, and an ES | EN document-language switch in the role editor (chapter 5).
  • Installable skills: when proposing a role’s Skills section, the agent searches the Claude Code and Codex marketplaces and proposes the ones that fit the role; when creating a project you choose which to install and for which agent (chapters 5 and 6).
  • View switcher Chat · Backlog · Usage · Team in the project’s top bar, replacing the separate buttons; the bar is reorganized (chapter 8).
  • Floating role-questions panel: it does not dim the chat, moves by dragging its header, is landscape and every question opens centered (chapter 8).
  • Backlog: when starting a sprint you can select several items; if the agent drafts several requests in one “Aside” reply, all are saved; when the sprint ends its items are marked done automatically (chapter 8).

What’s new in version 0.4.0

  • Teams and Roles, a new Home screen for creating your own roles and teams with the agent’s help: a role catalog (create, edit, duplicate, translate, import and export roles as .tacrole files) and an AI Teams tab (create a team from scratch or by copying an app team, edit its roles, its flow and its documents, try it in a test project and export it). See chapter 5.
  • Flow editor with a diagram: the phases and steps of your own team are edited on the List tab and drawn on the Diagram tab, which updates with every change (chapter 5).
  • “Ready” notice in the role and team editors: a green band with ✓ (“Role ready” / “Team ready”) when everything is complete and saved, with Finish and back to the catalog, View the role or Try the team, and Keep editing (chapter 5).
  • Evidence in “Aside”: attach screenshots or logs to a backlog request (chapter 8, The chat).
  • Backlog: every item has a state selector and the list is sorted by date (chapter 8).
  • Release notes: the what’s-new window opens by itself once per new version (chapter 18).
  • Licenses: six new features for roles and teams, 34 in total (chapter 15). Prometeo, the team that created teams, no longer ships with the app (chapter 7).
